40 U.S.-based organizations and companies, including ZETA, wrote to urge Secretary Granholm to support the 2024 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) and to encourage the ICC Board Vice President and Appeals Board Chair to reject pending appeals against the proposal. For the first time, EV Power Transfer Infrastructure provisions for new buildings are included in the main body of the Residential and Commercial versions of the 2024 IECC. In addition to EV readiness, these codes include mandatory requirements for on-site renewables, grid integration, and energy storage-readiness.
