ZETA joined 18 other organizations in a letter to the Senate Committee on Appropriations Vice Chair and Senate Minority Leader calling for $18 billion in discretionary funding for the IRS, which is what the agency spent in Fiscal Year 2025 on regular operations (adjusted for inflation), and to urge no further IRS funding rescissions, including to the remaining mandatory funding dedicated to carrying out the energy title of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).
