ZETA submitted comments as part of the Department of Commerce’s investigation to determine the effects on national security of imports of processed critical minerals as well as their derivative products, initiated under Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962. The comments provide an EV market overview, information on Chinese market manipulation, analysis of the critical minerals and battery markets, overview of battery recycling, and specific recommendations on the use of tariffs and growing domestic industry.
