ZETA outlines path to zero emission in letter to President

ZETA sent a letter to the White House, Cabinet members, and congressional leaders outlining key policy proposals to accelerate the deployment of zero-emission vehicles nationwide. 

The letter commends the Biden-Harris Administration’s early commitment to electrification while expanding upon current legislative proposals in Congress. ZETA’s policies call for additional consumer tax incentives for electric vehicles and recommend an additional $30 billion investment in public charging infrastructure. The proposals emphasize support for frontline communities and encourage domestic manufacturing and job creation while improving emissions standards and public health outcomes. The consumer-focused recommendations came as congressional leaders unveiled the BUILD GREEN Infrastructure and Jobs Act, which focuses on electrifying public transportation and modernizing infrastructure.
