Washington, D.C. – The Zero Emission Transportation Association (ZETA) commends President Biden’s American Jobs Plan for prioritizing many of the hallmark policy proposals outlined in the coalition’s policy platform, which seeks to accelerate the United States’ adoption of electric vehicles (EVs).
“The plan put forward by President Biden today demonstrates the leadership necessary to drive a swift and equitable transition to electric transportation,” said ZETA Executive Director Joe Britton. “From consumer incentives to substantial investments in federal fleet electrification and building out a robust nationwide charging network, this package prioritizes many of the policy proposals ZETA has been advocating for in order to foster an advanced electric vehicle sector.”
The first-of-its-kind, industry-backed coalition was also pleased to see the plan include an emphasis on supply chains viewed as critical in ensuring the U.S. is positioned to lead the automotive world in transportation electrification. “ZETA looks forward to working with the Administration and Congress to ensure these critical priorities are adopted,” said Britton.
ZETA recently sent a letter to the Biden Administration outlining key policy proposals to accelerate the deployment of zero-emission vehicles nationwide, including several outlined in the American Jobs Plan.
