Arizona Sonoran Copper's Cactus Mine began it's life as a mine operated between 1974 and 1984. The site was a taxpayer liability that sat dormant for 36 years, before being brought back to life. Today, the mine is on target to be a significant national producer of net-zero copper. Arizona Sonoran is also aiming to be the first to produce Arizona's first pound of copper without pumping a single drop of groundwater.
